Lord, I see a great truth in your word
I see Jesus moved with Compassion
He was not moved by desire for fame
He was not moved by money
He was moved by Compassion

Give me a heart like this O’ Lord
Full of Compassion
Moved by Compassion
I passed by many unsaved souls daily
Many times my heart is dry

I see many needy people around
But most times my heart is not moved
I want to be moved Lord
I want to be moved with compassion
Fill my heart today with compassion

Jesus did not see numbers
He saw a people with need
He did not see ‘ministry’
He saw the hopelessness of the people
And he was moved with compassion

His care for people was genuine
For it came out of a Compassionate heart
He walked through the wilderness
Seeking for the lost souls
His motive was Compassion
He felt their pain

Lord, help me to feel the pain around me
Help me to see with the eyes of Christ
Help me to see with the eyes of Compassion
Help me to see the end of sinners
And be moved with a great Compassion
Let my eyes never be dry before you
Crying daily until you comfort the comfortless

I seek not fame or wealth
Men are not numbers
They are made in your image
Give me now Lord Compassion for your people
For they are weary and scattered
Like sheep having no Shepherd

Reach deep into my heart
In my inner most being
And fill it with Compassion
That you might say of me
He was moved with Compassion for them.
