My name is Ameerah Lewis, and I am the founder of The Hem, and author of most of the Bible lessons you'll find on this site.

I want to personally welcome you to your new free Bible Study resource!

This web-ministry is definitely a labor of love for me. God is leading me to design this site as a haven that you can come to whenever you need an inspiring promise from Him.  It is my prayer that the lessons here can serve as part of your road map on your  quest to fall in love with God, even more deeply. 

I want you to think of The Hem as your very own Free Christian Bible Study Online Workbook.  Like any book, your Bible Study workbook has its own table of contents to help you find the lessons that you need when you need them.  

Here are a few other things that I believe will help you get the most out of your free online Bible study lessons.
  • Set a regular Bible Study Time for yourself.  Just 15 minutes a week is enough to really take your relationship with God to a Higher level!

  • Enroll in the Free Bible Study Basics E-course! It will teach you how to really get the most out of the time you spend in God's Word.   

  • Each lesson here has Bible Study Reflection Questions.  Taking the time to answer them on paper gives the Holy Spirit a chance to reveal new insights about the topics directly to you.  If you do your Bible studying at work, start a word document on your computer, and type up your answers as you go.

  • Print out lessons that really touch your heart, and keep them in an old folder.  You could even add in a few sheets of lined paper to journal on ways that you are going to use the information that you are learning.

  • If you'd like, you can be told when new Bible Study resources are ready for you to use.  Just subscribe to the Bible Study Online Blog.

  • If you are pressed for time, a free subscription to The Hem E-Devotional includes a description of the month's latest Bible studies sent right to your e-mail. Whenever you are ready to have your special Bible Study time, just open up your email and pick the lesson you would like to begin.  
Whether you are a new believer, or someone who has been following Christ for years, I pray that you will  be blessed by the collection of Bible studies that you find here, and that you will pass them on to others as the Spirit leads you.

As always, I pray that God continues to mold you into the person that He pre-destined you to be.
