My testimony involves so many things. God has made created so many miracles out of the impossible for me. He had created a way out when my back was against the wall. He has rescued me from death, a bullet missing my head by mere inches. He has rescued me and my family from homelessness, has created jobs and promotions so many things in the past and more to come in the present. One experience I’d like to share is very recent. I was married; my husband left me and our 12 month old child, the day before his first birthday and 10 days before I gave birth to our second child. He left us in a house with absolutely no money, no car, no food, and no formula for the baby. I had no choice but to go live with family. I lost everything material that I owed except for some pictures. I went to live with my sister, I started off with a part-time job 4-12 hours per week because I couldn’t afford for anyone to watch my children. I relied on my sister and other relatives. Finally I got public assistance and was able to get the children in daycare and I picked up little temp jobs. I finally found a long term assignment. In the meantime, my one year old was struggling with severe asthma. Hospitalizations and doctor’s visits almost every other week. After things started to look up, I moved out found a nice little apartment very cozy and affordable. Less than a month later I lost my job. My employer didn’t want to deal with me having to leave and care for my asthmatic son. I struggled and struggled to find another job but nothing, nobody would hire me. Then my “cozy” apartment became infested with mice, they ate my children’s shoes, they were in my kitchen, even in my refrigerator!

We moved in with an Aunt out of state. This whole time, my husband never contributed financially nor saw the kids except for maybe a few occasions, I brought them to see him. All he wanted to do was belittle me and discourage me from making it. I had to go through Social Services and apply for Temporary Cash Assistance which I was denied. I had to attend a class about how to find a job and take care of your children. People assume because you are poor you are uneducated and cannot take care of your children. I had to swallow my pride, I was embarrassed, back then I would think here I am a college educated woman who has traveled the world stuck in a class with what I then called them, uneducated and ignorant people. Boy was I wrong; there were educated, successful people in there that just fell on hard times such as myself. 1 month after moving I found a job, I was offered 2 jobs at once. 3 weeks after I started, I got a promotion.

As I started to feel confident about how my life had blossomed, there came Satan trying to shake my world up again. My Aunt and I had so many disagreements. She felt as though she was the perfect Christian and because I did not praise God like her and live her kind of lifestyle Church 24/7 that I was a sinner and was doing my children a disservice because I wasn’t. I moved out because she was toxic. Christians can be toxic; people who love you can be toxic! She was extremely negative and discouraging. We spent 2 weeks at a friend’s house while I searched for apartments which was rough, she didn’t have children so them being there was hard on her. I’d drive around until one o’clock in the morning on some of those nights waiting for her to get home because we didn’t have a key and we didn’t have anywhere else to go.

With bad credit and hardly any money and nobody else to call on, I called on GOD and kept calling on him! I drove around looking for a church one Sunday and God led me to this amazing church! I prayed that day so hard for God to turn it around, I believed with everything in my body and being that he would. I was down to my very last couple dollars at Church. Knowing all the odds against me, I gave my last $10 because I wanted to, not because I was expecting some miracle. I did it because I truly wanted to.

A couple days later, out the blue another Aunt sent some money and THEN, we moved into our apartment! Today my child is 110% ASTHMA FREE, GOD CONTINUES TO HELP ME MAKE ENDS MEET AND BLESSES US FINANCIALLY. We are happy and we are HEALTHLY and LIFE is AMAZING. My testimony is that GOD CAN TURN ANY SITUATION AROUND, ABSOLUTLEY ANYTHING! YOU MUST BELIEVE THAT HE CAN, KNOW THAT HE DOES NOT INTEND FOR HIS CHILDREN TO BE IN MISERY OR TO FEAR THE ROAD THAT MAY BE AHEAD OF YOU. I STARE ALL OF THE CHALLENGES THAT SATAN PUTS IN FRONT OF ME DEAD IN THE EYE AND SAY BRING IT ON SATAN BECAUSE I’VE GOT SOMETHING FOR YOU, I’VE GOT FAITH AND I’VE GOT GOD ON MY SIDE. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO EXPERIENCE THE PAIN AND HEARTACHE TO PREPARE YOU FOR THE VICTORIES IN LIFE, PLEASE REMEMBER THAT!I HOPE THAT THIS STORY INSPIRES SOMEONE AND KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
