am i commiting a moral sin
I have a business which is closed. I made an agreement with someone to take over the business and as I owed him money I would run it free of charge. I was to receive a salary and every month money would be taken out of my salary for what I owed him.
I keep catching him lying to me about everything. He applied for a business licence but didn't pick it up. He won't go to the office in the mall to tell them that the store is under new management. At the moment the insurance company for the store and the management of the mall still think that I am the owner of the business which has been officially closed for over six months.
Recently he told me that he isn't allowed to own a business and that his current business is owned by someone else. He keeps telling me not to worry and I am afraid of going to jail if found out for fraud. I don't have any means to support myself which is why I have put up with this arrangement.
Also the business that I closed previously belonged to my husband's sister and my husband is afraid of her finding out that the business went bankrupt.
Please help.
